Literature Resource Center - info
This database provides criticism of writers and works, as well as extensive biographical materials on many important writers.  

JSTOR: The Scholarly Journal Archive - info
An extensive full-text database of academic journal articles, covering most academic disciplines with a particularly strong collection in the humanities. The results will be listed in order of relevance. Note: Current issues are now available for selected journal titles.

Literature Online - info
Contains a full library of up-to-date, fully searchable works of poetry, prose and drama (over 350,000 works) as well as criticism and reference resources covering the seventh century to the present day.

Project MUSE - info
Access to full-text coverage for over 300 high quality humanities, arts, and social sciences journals from 60 scholarly publishers.

MLA  - info
The most important database for literary research, Modern Language Association International Bibliography is an enormous database indexing scholarly resources on all subjects related to linguistics and literature of any genre from any period. Please note that the database indexes not only journal articles, but also books, book chapters and dissertations. Please note that this is not a full-text database.

Academic Search Premier - info
A general database that indexes articles in academic journals, newspapers and magazines covering nearly all academic disciplines. 

ProQuest Research Library - info
A database with both popular and scholarly materials that span the academic disciplines.  Some materials are full-text within this database, and some are not.

Cambridge Companions to Literature and Classics Collection - info
A collection of the digital versions of the print Cambridge Companion volumes in Literature, Classics, Philosophy, Religion, and Culture. Over 2,800 scholarly essays are included, freely searchable, and available full-text in PDF format within the database.

The Johns Hopkins Online Guide to Literary Theory and Criticism - info
This resource offers full-text articles on individual literary critics and theorists, critical and theoretical schools and movements, and the innovations of certain countries and historical periods. Also presents related persons and fields influential to literary theory and criticism. Each entry includes selective primary and secondary bibliographies.

Books in Print® - info
This is a database with extensive indexing of books published in English worldwide. Some book reviews are included, as are a limited number of synopses.

The Literature, Arts, & Medicine Database -  info
This database, focusing on the Medical Humanities, offers a collection of primary fiction and poetry titles, many with plot summaries and commentary. Search by keyword, title, or person, or browse by Annotation (title) or Author.

Medieval and Early Modern Sources Online (MEMSO)info
This database offers a collection of historical documents published between 1000 and 1800. It will be helpful to those looking for primary government documents from Europe covering this time period. Go to the "Search" page to search for particular words or phrases, or browse the document by source type.

Iter - info   Middle Ages and Renaissance (400-1700) 
Records include journal articles, essays, reviews, dissertation abstracts.  It is not a full-text database, but by clicking the Check for full-text button, you can check to see if we have it in print, electronically, or you can inter-library loan the item. Go into the Advanced Search page for more options for searching.

Communication & Mass Media Complete - info
A database of mostly scholarly journal articles, some in full-text, specifically for the discipline of communication and mass media.
