Join Us for Book Club!

SJU students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in a Summer Book Club to read and discuss Joseph Earl Thomas' memoir, SINK in advance of Thomas's visit to SJU in October.

We will discuss the book in three parts, on the following dates:

June 7th: 1-2pm (pages 1- 89: chapter ends with: "It would not be that hard, Joey thought. It should not be this hard.")
July 12th: 1-2pm (pages 90-171: chapter ends with: "And that, he would later think, was the real loss.")
August 9th: 1-2pm (pages 172-248 end of book)

Please note that Sink: A Memoir contains descriptions of the author's lived experiences with physical abuse and family members living with addiction, as well as references to his own dark thoughts.
