OER: Faculty Guide to Open Educational Resources

The zero textbook cost policy was introduced by Social Work Program Director Matt DeCarlo, an advocate for the Open Education movement. DeCarlo is the founder of Open Social Work, the largest library of open access textbooks, books and other resources for social work faculty to adopt open education, open access, and open science practices and resources.

SJU faculty who are interested in exploring openly-licensed options for their courses can contact their liaison librarian for support.
