Creative Commons

Creative Commons licensing allows creators to specify more flexible forms of licensing than copyright allows.  It can allow for a wider variety of uses and modification.

Accessibility

Many existing OERs are designed for universal learning and accessibility from the outset.  Projects such as MERLOT take this into consideration.  However, when adopting or authoring any resource for teaching, the instructor is responsible for ensuring the materials are accessible.  The resources on this page offer practical advice for ensuring course materials are accessible.  The instructional designers at the college are available for consultation on accessibility.
