Primo is Saint Joseph's University’s online search tool and catalog that allows you to discover the libraries’ print and electronic resources in a single space.
Sign in for additional features that include:
Primo allows you to renew all books, or individual books. Please note that the ‘Renew’ option will only be available if the book is eligible for renewal. For more information, please see current borrowing policies.
Primo allows you to pin results and searches for later use.
If you are not signed in, the pin will not be available later, on different browsers, or on different devices.
Need a book from a different campus?
Placing a request for an item - whether you want it ready to pick up at your home campus, or need it delivered to a different campus - requires you to log in to your library account.
From search results click the title to open the full record and locate the ‘Request’ option (under 'Get It'); then choose the campus where you would like to pick up the item, fill out the rest of the form, and submit the request.
Quotation: This icon generates a basic APA citation of the item and allows users to choose from additional formats including MLA and Chicago/Turabian.
Remember to always double check citations as generated content is not always accurate!
Chain Links: This icon generates a permalink, or a stable, direct link to the item record, and will be the best way to navigate back to the resource. Note that it is never a good idea to save the URL populated in the URL bar at the top of your browser (these are not stable links).
Envelope: This icon allows you to quickly email yourself (or a friend) specific resources.
Pin: This icon allows you to ‘pin’ a resource or search.
If you are signed in, it saves the resource to your favorites and allows for quick and easy access from any device or browser.
If you are not signed in, the pin will be saved in your browser cache, but will be deleted once your cache is cleared and will not be available in different browsers, or on different devices.
QR Code: Clicking the QR code icon will create a QR code that you can scan to open the same search on your phone or tablet. It will also create a link you can copy so that you can save/share that link to take you directly to the same search.
